v5.18.5 · October 4, 2026

Artifacts get organized, sharing gets less bottlenecked, and the Operator gets faster and more willing to do the writing.

New

  • Folders for artifacts. Group artifacts into folders. Everything in a folder follows that folder's sharing settings, and you can select several artifacts and move them at once.
  • Editors can share. Anyone who can edit an artifact can now share it, not only its owner. No more waiting on one person to send a review out.
  • The Operator fills in templates. Ask it to complete a document template and it writes each empty section, instead of saying it can't.
  • Add actions where they belong. Every group header in My Actions has a + button that opens a new action already set for that group: its assignee, goal, meeting, status or tag.

Improved

  • The Operator answers faster, especially on the first message of a new conversation. It starts preparing while you type.
  • If a message never reaches the Operator, you see Try again right away instead of waiting.
  • Conversations from a Brev tab left open during an update are saved and appear in Recents.
  • Artifact thumbnails preview your real goals instead of placeholder tiles.
  • If an artifact can't refresh, the version you already had stays on screen.
  • If an invite can't be saved, the share dialog stays open so you can fix it.
  • Type ":" in a check-in, comment or artifact text tile to pick an emoji from the keyboard.
  • The Connectors page lists the apps you've connected first, then the most widely used ones such as Gmail, GitHub, Notion and Slack.

Fixed

  • After building an artifact, the Operator could reply with notes meant for itself rather than an answer to you.
  • The Operator could offer answer choices that referred to a summary it never showed.
  • Artifact cards in Operator chat now count each goal once, and goals in Operator-built lists always show their owner.
  • A failed sign-in now explains what went wrong and keeps your invitation so you can try again.
  • Buttons on an empty goals page wrapped onto two lines on narrow screens.
