Set up your AI coworker in Slack yourself

v5.18.0 · September 22, 2026

Your Brev coworker in Slack no longer waits on an admin. Connect it yourself, and get messages that only speak up when there is something worth saying.

New

• Self-serve Slack coworker. You no longer need anyone to grant you access first. Open AI coworkers in Settings, connect Slack, and your coworker introduces itself.
• Messages with less noise. Your coworker mentions a goal only when there is real news about it, not on every line. Links in its messages open the right page in Brev.

Improved

• Setup links land where they should. "Connect workspace" takes you to the Essentials section itself. Skipping the coworker step points you to where you can pick it up later.
• The setup checklist stays accurate. Disconnecting in one tab no longer leaves another tab saying you're connected, and returning from a Slack connection no longer repeats the confirmation.
• "View goals" links show you the goals. Following a link to a saved view widens it to cover the goals it pointed at, even when that view is narrowed to one period. Your saved view keeps its own settings.
• Honest agenda authorship. "Generated by Brev" appears only on agendas Brev wrote. Agendas you start from scratch or from a template are no longer labelled as ours.
